Sunday lunchtime, 18 October. In 11 minutes and nine seconds, one influence holder's personal money paid for two transfers: Owen Wijndal moved from Ajax to Athens Green, and Ajax put the full 46.4M asking price on the table for a player he represents as agent.

• 13:08:36: protagonist donates 35,000 SVC to Athens Green. The club gets a 5.25M injection, which takes its balance from 15.74M to 20.99M.
• 13:10:12: Ajax list left-back Owen Wijndal (76) at a 16,309,333 minimum.
• 13:11:06: Athens Green pay exactly that. Wijndal is sold 54 seconds after being listed, and Ajax bank 15.49M after the cut.
• 13:15:08: protagonist sends Athens Green another 61,000 SVC (9.15M in club money).
• 13:18:44: protagonist donates 100,000 SVC to Ajax. The 15M injection lifts their balance from 38.79M to 53.79M.
• 13:19:45: Ajax bid the full 46,376,549 for Jordan Bos (80, LB). Montevideo Parque Rodó had listed him on 31 August and he'd had no bids since. His agent is protagonist.

Bos joined on Monday and signed for four more seasons at 18:03 that evening. protagonist is the biggest influence holder at both clubs, with 220,253 at Athens Green and 169,952 at Ajax. From Sunday to Wednesday he gave the two clubs 273,000 SVC, which became 40.95M in club money.

Neither deal could have happened without the top-ups. Athens Green had 15.74M against a 16.31M price, and Ajax had 38.79M against 46.38M. Donating to clubs is an ordinary game feature and nothing here breaks a rule. It does follow the pattern we reported at West Ham on 8 October, where the agent was also a big backer of the buying club. The other winner is Uruguay: Montevideo Parque Rodó took 44.06M and now have 50.6M in the bank, against a squad worth 7.9M.

Salzburg's midnight double

At 18:00 on Wednesday, Salzburg centre-back Jannik Schuster (83, aged 20) got a 61-day injury and won't be back until 21 December. Six hours later DerFalke went shopping:

• Guélor Kanga Kaku (84, DMC, aged 36) from Beograd Red for 27.16M at 23:53. He's valued at 2.26M, so that's 12 times his value.
• Leonel Pérez (79, DMC, aged 22) from Monterrey for 31.2M at 01:02 on Thursday.

That's 58.36M, and the balance has gone from 211.73M to 153.37M. Neither signing is a centre-back. Salzburg are third in Austria on 47 points, seven behind Linz Black, who paid 29.83M on Tuesday for 20-year-old Kévin Pedro (77, CB/RB).

Istra bet the bank

Lorient listed striker Sambou Soumano (83, aged 25) at 48,004,999 on 16 October. Istra bid exactly that four minutes and 43 seconds later, and nobody else bid. The deal went through on Monday and took Istra's balance from 51.30M to 3.30M. That's 93.6% of their cash on a player valued at 6.01M. Istra are fifth in Croatia, 31 points behind Split, and now have 3.07M left.

GreenFuryx's bad hour

GreenFuryx manages both Roma and Brentford, and he lost a star from each an hour apart on Wednesday. At 18:00, Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar (93) picked up a 14-day knock and is due back on 4 November. At 19:00, Brentford defender Sepp van den Berg (87) was ruled out for 47 days, until 7 December.

And Svilar injured again 😫 14 days

Roma are top of Serie A on 41 points. Napoli, Torino White and Milano Red are all on 37.

Napoli boss looplab replied: "4 Better than 6 🤣". Brentford are in more danger. They're 17th on 22 points with two wins in six, three points clear of Tottenham, and van den Berg has one season left on his contract.

Rennes lock the door

tfunk55 renewed three senior players in 140 seconds on Wednesday evening, all for two more seasons: Adrien Truffert (87) at 19:13, Hans Hateboer (84) at 19:14 and Leo Skiri Østigård (89) at 19:15. An hour before that, Hateboer had been given a one-game ban for yellow cards. Rennes are eighth in France on 32 points.
