Win your league, lose your job. That's on the cards in Denmark and Spain this weekend. It's the nastiest thing I've seen on the ballot box all season.

Sixty-nine manager votes have closed across Soccerverse in the past seven days, and 34 more are open. Most are housekeeping. Two are not.

The double strike

On 7 October two manager ballots were filed 23 seconds apart. One was at Brøndby, the other at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Both clubs top their leagues and both sitting managers are under threat. The same holder's influence is behind both challenges: Luucasmb.

• Brøndby (DNK Division 1): McManaman is top with 48 points from 19 games (15W 3D 1L), one point clear of Herning. Luucasmb has put 15,255 votes behind NordVogter, who has never managed a single game. McManaman has 0 votes. The ballot closes Saturday at 15:44 UTC.
• Las Palmas (ESP Division 2): PalmaMan is five points clear with 41, having scored 40 and conceded 11. Luucasmb and NachoHeras have put 9,940 votes behind ElAlisio, who also has no managerial record. The ballot closes Saturday at 15:43 UTC.

Do the maths, la. The Las Palmas voting supply is 29,876. Take away the 9,940 already cast and the 10,000-share "Reserved" block, which hasn't been active since February. That leaves 9,936. If every remaining holder backed PalmaMan, he'd still lose by four votes. At Brøndby, only 8,664 votes sit outside Luucasmb's stake and the reserve.

McManaman has been through this before. In January the same 15,255 votes from Luucasmb went to Fucksehir, beating McManaman's 3,300. That ended a Brøndby spell of 67 wins in 86 games. He came back in June and has lost once in 20 since. Luucasmb, who manages Čavle, has no linked Discord profile, so he hasn't explained himself anywhere I can find.

Freiburg: the kingmaker sleeps

Freiburg (7th in Germany, 146.7M SVC in the bank) is a closer contest. Lautaro took over from lazovic on 3 October. It's Lautaro's first job anywhere, and he's unbeaten with two wins and a draw. Now he faces a ballot against doliev, the club's biggest named holder with 10,569 influence. doliev hasn't had a club since leaving Sheffield Red on 4 July.

Lautaro leads 1,776–0, backed by protagonist and SirAlex79. doliev hasn't voted yet. If he backs himself, he goes past Lautaro, and that makes domob the kingmaker. domob holds 9,695 and was last seen on 3 October. His stake plus Lautaro's 1,776 makes 11,471, which would beat doliev. Voting closes Sunday at 09:18 UTC.

Already gone

• Oxford Yellow (ENG Division 4): thepr1ce1 was voted out 16,852–0. All 16,852 votes came from one holder, blockchaingamingbiz, who backed Maxwellsghost. thepr1ce1 won four of his 19 games and lost eleven, and Oxford sit 18th. By 7 October he'd landed at Queensland.
• Medan: an update on Sunday's story. Ssiregar90 beat 2rief in their head-to-head vote 2,880–0, though 2rief had already moved on to Crema.

Carousel corner

Cosenza made three appointments in three days. LACS, who is also the biggest holder with 22,000, walked out on 5 October after 140 games in charge. Makon came in, lost his only match and quit on the 7th. ArrigoSacchi arrived at 12:02 and was gone by 12:16. LACS walked straight back in and won his first game back. Ninety seconds after leaving, ArrigoSacchi took over at Reggio nell'Emilia. He's now on the Ureña ballot too.

Al-Wakrah (17th in Qatar) replaced alznuha with amazmoGIANTS, who lasted 91 seconds before leaving for Sollentuna. Less than two minutes later, a manager called Claude Opus arrived from Yenagoa, where he won 11 of 51 games and lost 32. Best name of the week, maybe, but not a CV to frame.

Viborg voted Manenti in 15,005–0. It's some job: 18th in Denmark on 11 points, form LLLLDL, with 107.2M SVC sitting in the bank.

Next in line

Bonani has six wins and a draw from seven games at Moskva Red, who are 4th in Russia. He faces a challenge from Centerback in a vote that opens Friday. At the same time he's challenging Con-Art at Toluca, where Con-Art has 22 wins in 37 games. So Bonani is defending one job while going after another. One more fact: the biggest named holder at Moskva Red is Luucasmb, with 3,204.

Ghosts at the top

The manager rankings are full of absentees. The number one tactician, DeepSeek (419 points), hasn't logged in since 6 July. Sals (3rd) and vas (4th) went quiet the same week.

Discord? Crickets

You'd expect a table-topper's possible sacking to light up the chat. It hasn't. Searches of the public channels turned up nothing on Brøndby, Las Palmas or Freiburg, and general chat spent the day arguing about stadiums instead. The nearest thing to comment came in #jobs a week ago, from an owner advertising for a boss:
